SALONVIDEO presents a selection of video and digital art proposed by five art spaces and galleries from Mexico, Argentina, Columbia and Puerto Rico, together with works of local artists from Bucharest. They effortlessly find common themes, whether they were made in 2021 or 1981, on different continents and in various contexts. Political changes, migration, colonialism, queer identity, public space and domestic space, geometry, repetitive gestures and careful observation. Sandwich Offspace becomes a meeting place for all these, noisy and crowded, offering enough time and space to each of them.
Salonvideo is a project initiated by Daniela Pălimariu and Dan Băsu in 2012, organized together with Luminița Apostu in 2013 / 2014.
